{"id":335,"date":"2025-09-10T12:08:44","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:08:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.adsspider.com\/?p=335"},"modified":"2025-09-10T12:08:44","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:08:44","slug":"the-seos-2015-wishlist-what-would-you-like-to-see-happen-in-search","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.talentsearchranker.com\/blog\/2025\/09\/10\/the-seos-2015-wishlist-what-would-you-like-to-see-happen-in-search\/","title":{"rendered":"The SEO\u2019s 2015 wishlist: what would you like to see happen in search?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content-blog__body\">\n<p><strong>It\u2019s nearly Christmas so it only seems right that we give people a chance to share in the greatest gift of all: hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Specifically that\u2019s the hope that Google will listen to the SEO community and makes their dreams come true in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve already asked the <a href=\"https:\/\/econsultancy.com\/blog\/65899-seo-trends-for-2015-what-does-the-future-hold\/\" target=\"_self\">SEO community what they think will happen in search next year<\/a>, and now it\u2019s time to reveal what search experts would like to see happen in their industry in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what they came up with&#8230;<\/p>\n<h3>Penguin integration<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Nick Fettiplace, SEO director at Jellyfish<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d really like to see Penguin finally become more closely integrated into the core Google algorithm, similarly to how the Panda algorithm was in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>We saw a lot of frustration throughout 2014 from those who had worked endlessly in correcting their algorithmically penalised backlink profiles but were yet to see any kind of recovery due to the Penguin 3.0 update taking so long to surface.<\/p>\n<p>By the time the update took place on October 17 2014, it had been 12 months since the previous major update.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.econsultancy.com\/images\/0005\/7576\/panda_penguin.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"357\" height=\"201\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s John Mueller recently suggested that they were getting closer to a greater integration of Penguin into the core algorithm, so this move is definitely on their roadmap.<\/p>\n<p>To me, this will have a positive impact on organic search.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Related post: <a href=\"https:\/\/econsultancy.com\/blog\/65621-penguin-3-0-what-s-it-all-about\/\" target=\"_self\">Penguin 3.0: what&#8217;s it all about?<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Pitching to bloggers<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Andrew Girdwood, media innovations director at DigitasLBi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I would like to pitch an editorial idea to a blogger without getting a ratecard response \u201cI\u2019ll blog about this if you pay me to\u201d in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>I make that wish as a busy blogger.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Related post: <a href=\"https:\/\/econsultancy.com\/blog\/65495-five-lessons-for-effective-blogger-outreach\/\" target=\"_self\">Five lessons for effective blogger outreach<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Data insight<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ruth Attwood, advanced search consultant at 4Ps<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an obvious and continuous development &#8211; but always worth mentioning &#8211; with an increasing number of clients implementing tools like Google <a href=\"https:\/\/econsultancy.com\/reports\/tag-management-buyers-guide\/\" target=\"_self\">Tag Manager<\/a>, the importance of turning information and data into insight increases.<\/p>\n<p>Clients will surely value more insight across data from content, SEO and <a href=\"https:\/\/econsultancy.com\/reports\/paid-search-marketing-ppc-best-practice-guide\/\" target=\"_self\">PPC<\/a> as this trend continues.<\/p>\n<p>I am wondering what kind of tech, accessible to \u2018beginners\u2019 can help us get ahead.<\/p>\n<h3>Successful content community<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Andrew Girdwood, DigitasLBi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I would love to see someone make a success of a blogger and\/or content community.
